Common questions
Do I keep my masters?+
Yes. Always. We do not take ownership of any recording, composition, or master. We distribute on your behalf and you keep 100% of the rights.
What about royalties?+
Streaming royalties from Spotify and Apple Music flow to you through the distributor. Mechanical and performance royalties (publishing) are a separate stream we can set up through Songtrust or a similar service.
Can you pitch to Spotify editorial playlists?+
We pitch through Spotify for Artists at least seven days before release, which is the official editorial pitch channel. We can't guarantee placement (nobody can), but we follow the practices that actually work.
What does this cost?+
Single-release distribution is a flat per-release fee in the $40 to $300 range depending on the distributor you choose. We work on a per-engagement basis on top to handle the scheduling, pitching, and royalty setup.
